oliver, bruiser, oh my

So, without further ado, I’d like to introduce you all to Oliver and Bruiser, my  fur babies. Take a look at their cuteness, would ya?

Aren’t they adorable? What wouldn’t I do for those faces? Oh wait, no much.

A little background, I’ve had Oliver since kittenhood, he’s a little aggressive, and by little I mean, REALLY AGGRESSIVE, but hey! I love him anyways.

Bruiser, on the other hand, I’ve only had for a year. I adopted him from Petfinder.com when he was 2 (now 3) and he’s the sweetest cat alive.

I kinda love the fact that they’re the odd couple. Oliver’s salty and Bruiser’s sweet. It’s fate.

XO.

...that was her, and baby this is me...

In case you didn’t get that reference, I was quoting a Dream song. Well, any hoo, i thought that I should introduce myself. I’m Katie, your lovely blogger…

Here are few things you need to know about me!

1) I laugh at highly inappropriate times during movies…it makes ish awkward for all involved…by all involved I mean mostly my boyfriend…

2) I love to cook and bake and be crafty. Unfortunately, I’m currently rolling through a funk right now, a funk that doesn’t permit me to cook and bake and craft but this too shall pass. I promise.

3) Lars and the Real Girl is in my top 10 movie list. If you’ve seen it, you KNOW what I’m talking about…if you haven’t throw it in your queue. You’ll thank me, I promise.

4) I have a sick, and I mean SICK, obsession with coffee.  I love the ritual of it, the smell of it, the way it makes me feel like an adult. That’s right, I base my level of adulthood by the amount of caffeine I consume. Judge away, I don’t care.

5) I have an internal debate about whether I would want to live on the beach or in the mountains. Every time I think I have the answer nailed down, I take a trip and my mind spins with options. I love the beach because of the community and, well, obviously the ocean. And I love the mountains because of the abundance of nature and space. Decisions, decisions…where would you want to live?

6) Without fail, in the summer I miss the winter and in the winter I’m desperate for the summer. I think that’s what I love most about living in Connecticut, I truly get to experience all season. I get leaves, and snow, and flowers, and blazing heat. I get it all ladies and gents and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

7) I’m the proud mama of two fur babies, you’ll get to meet them at a later date!

8) For my college application, I wrote an essay about the farmer in the movie Babe. To this day, he is one of my favorite character. I loved the way that he followed the beat of his own drummer…I guess it always inspires me when people do what suits them. Despite the backlash they might get from others.

9) I hate grammar.

10) I was a vegetarian for 3 years and I gave it up for a bacon-cheeseburger. How sad/awesome, right? I don’t know what came over me, I just NEEDED one, and so I gave in and now, 5lbs and 2 years later, I’m still a meat eater. Booya.

Well now that you know me, I hope to get to know you as well, darling reader. Did you notice how I didn’t pluralize that, cause I know I don’t have multiple readers (yet).

XO.

Katie
